About the Role
We are looking for passionate and motivated HCPC Registered Podiatrists to join our expanding clinical team. Whether you are looking for a full-time career opportunity or a flexible part-time role, you'll become part of a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality podiatry services across our South East London clinics. You will assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions while delivering evidence-based treatment and excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of foot and ankle conditions, including medical history, physical examination and clinical investigations where appropriate.
- Diagnose a wide range of podiatric conditions and develop individualised, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Deliver routine podiatry treatments including: Nail care Corn and callus management, Diabetic foot care, Wound management, Verruca treatment Footwear and orthotic advice
- Perform minor surgical procedures where competent, including: Nail surgery, Ingrown toenail procedures, Corn and callus removal
- Educate patients on preventative foot care, self-management and healthy lifestyle advice.
- Maintain accurate, timely and professional clinical records in accordance with HCPC and company standards.
- Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, GPs and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
- Participate in clinical audits, service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, clean and compliant clinical environment, following infection prevention and control procedures.
- Keep up to date with current clinical evidence through regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Podiatry.
- HCPC Registered Podiatrist.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Minimum of 2 years' post-registration clinical experience.
- Excellent knowledge of lower limb anatomy, biomechanics and common podiatric conditions.
- Experience carrying out comprehensive podiatric assessments.
- Strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills.
- Experience performing minor surgical procedures including nail surgery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational and documentation skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
Desirable
- Experience working within private practice or community services.
- Experience managing diabetic foot conditions.
- Biomechanics and orthotic prescription experience.
- Local anaesthetic and nail surgery qualification.
- Experience using electronic patient record systems.
