Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern consisting of:
2 x 12 hr days 06:00 - 18:00 and 2 x 12 hr nights18:00 - 06:00 (all hours worked between the hours of 18:00 and 06:00 get an extra £1 an hour additional to salary

Primary Purpose of the Role
Manage team of associates, control and continuously improve all aspects of food safety, health & safety, quality, productivity, GMP, material, packaging and labour usage and to provide excellent customer service.
Key Areas of Responsibility and Standards of Performance
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained, associates are wearing correct PPE and corrective action is taken, when appropriate
- Accidents are reported promptly and investigations are completed correctly and within the time frame.
- Ensure 10 BBS and 5 Near Misses are recorded and actioned per shift.
- Manage Production activity ensuring quality targets are met through effective use of KPIs and Safety start up sheets are completed, with appropriate actions carried out and recorded.
- Ensure staffing levels are correct for requirements and that Agency staff are correctly identified and managed.
- All C.C.P checks and paperwork are carried out on time and in full, with appropriate actions carried out and recorded.
- GMP and housekeeping standards audit is ready every day.
- Provide coaching and guidance to team to enhance performance, ensure any absence and disciplinary matters are dealt with appropriately, provide support for new hires.
- Ensure any plant/packing issues are identified and reported to your line manager and the oncoming shift.
- Support N.P.D trial processes and site visits.
- Attending SIC meetings with the previous 3 hours performance data and be able to identify and explain issues identified.
- Complete any actions that are required from the Morning or SIC Meeting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and processes.
- Ensure accurate Oracle details are recorded correctly and understanding of incorrect data.
- Liaise with Engineering to ensure appropriate response and on-going maintenance.
- Communicate and work with other departments to ensure excellent customer service.
- Focus on continuous improvement – identify opportunities to improve functionality and efficiency. Implement actions as part of the continuous improvement programme within the Production department to improve efficiency and reduce non-conformances.

Scope
- Ensure the area uses good health, safety and wellness principles, investigate problems, agree actions and implement them. Be the champion for safety in your area.
- Report near misses and accidents, investigate problems, agree actions and implement them with your line manager
- Ensure that processes and procedures are followed correctly with all paperwork fully completed
- Ensure that all data is accurate, supply your plant/packing shift report to the Factory Performance Administrator
- Attend SIC Meetings to report performance and drive improvements
Person Specification
- Experience of working within Food Manufacturing environment, ideally a Bakery or perishable / frozen FMCG.
- Team manager with ability to motivate and lead associates, balance working as part of a team and on own initiative, proven, effective people management skills.
- Good organisational skills, effective influencing skills with the ability to exert authority when necessary.
- Efficient work style within a fast paced pressurised environment with an eye for detail and results focused.
- Competent in English Language with an ability to demonstrate both verbal and written communication skills and able to build strong working relationships.
- Competent numeracy. Literacy and PC / systems skills.
- Self-motivated with an enthusiastic approach and the willingness to go that extra mile.
- Flexible attitude to work – ability to adapt to changing demands and requirements.
- Demonstrate a progressive attitude towards developing knowledge and skills.
