Play Worker - 3pm-6pm , Monday, Tuesday , Thursday, (Wednesday also a possibility)
We are currently looking to recruit a Playworker to join our afterschool club.
The role is for three afternoons per week, with the option to pick up additional hours covering staff absence.
Play work is a highly skilled profession that enriches and enhances children’s play. The role of a play worker is to support all children and young people in the creation of a space they can play in. Campus Kidz are passionate about creating enjoyable experiences and play spaces for the children across Park and Stirling Campus. Play work is based on the recognition that children and young people’s capacity for positive development will be enhanced if given access to the broadest range of environments and play opportunities.
SOME KEY RESPONCIBILITIES:
· To facilitate and support children’s self-directed play and to pre plan activities for children between 4-11 taking into account their abilities, ensuring the use of the EYFS.
· To introduce ideas and activities and support children’s initiatives that help to create a changing, stimulating and rich play environment.
· To implement the safeguarding policy and procedures and ensure that each child’s care, welfare and well-being are supported. All staff have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults. The post holder will undertake the appropriate level of training and is responsible for ensuring that they understand and work within the safeguarding policies of the organisation.
· To provide a warm, welcoming and inclusive play environment where individuals are valued, and appropriate adaptations are made to maximise all children’s engagement with play.
· To implement the behaviour policy and procedures relevant to each setting using appropriate play work intervention styles.
· To assist with the maintenance, repair, design and development of play structures.
Pay: £12.65 per hour
