About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and practical Warehouse Operative / 3.5 Tonne Driver to join our Operations team.
This is a varied, hands-on position combining general warehouse duties with driving and customer deliveries/collections. We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable working in the warehouse and being out on the road when required.
The successful candidate will play an important part in our day-to-day operation, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, loaded and dispatched accurately and on time, as well as carrying out deliveries and collections using our 3.5-tonne company vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely
- Checking incoming and outgoing goods
- Preparing and checking orders for dispatch
- Receiving deliveries and putting stock away
- Operating a Counterbalance and/or Bendi/Flexi forklift truck
- General warehouse and stock-handling duties
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse
- Assisting with stock checks and inventory control
- Carrying out customer deliveries using a 3.5-tonne company vehicle
- Collecting goods from suppliers and other locations as required
- Ensuring goods are loaded, secured and transported safely
- Completing all necessary delivery and collection paperwork
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Representing Geldbach UK professionally when visiting customers and suppliers
- Working closely with the Warehouse and Operations teams to ensure daily priorities are achieved
- Following all company Health & Safety procedures
- Undertaking other reasonable warehouse, driving and operational duties as required
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A valid Counterbalance and/or Bendi/Flexi forklift licence
- A full UK driving licence permitting the driving of a 3.5-tonne vehicle
- Previous warehouse experience
- Previous commercial driving/delivery experience
- Experience of loading, unloading, picking and packing goods
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on order accuracy
- Ability to safely undertake manual handling duties
- Good communication skills
- A reliable and punctual approach to work
Please note: A valid Counterbalance or Bendi/Flexi forklift licence is an essential requirement for this role. Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
