Salary will be totally dependent on experience and qualifications
Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance to optimize oven performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as heating elements, sensors, fans, or control boards to restore optimal operation.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately identify issues and execute repairs efficiently.
- Lead on-site service visits with professionalism and clear communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide training to clients on proper oven operation, safety procedures, and maintenance best practices.
- This role involves early starts, but this does mean early finishes. Its not unusual to be starting at 4-5am and be home at 1-2pm. Many of our engineers have young families, the hours suit them well
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Strong construction experience or background in building or installing complex systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of air conditioning systems or HVAC fundamentals is a plus for troubleshooting related components.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide customers through technical processes confidently.
- Prior experience working with commercial kitchen equipment or similar appliances preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
