What will you do?
As a Shuttering Joiner, you will be responsible for constructing, installing and dismantling formwork systems used to support and shape concrete structures on a variety of civil engineering and construction projects. You will work closely with site teams to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

What will you be responsible for?
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications and site instructions.
- Constructing, installing and dismantling timber, proprietary and bespoke formwork systems for foundations, walls, columns, beams, culverts and slabs.
- Measuring, marking and cutting materials accurately to specification.
- Ensuring formwork is erected safely, securely and in accordance with project requirements.
- Working alongside groundworkers, steel fixers, concrete gangs, plant operators and engineers to deliver construction activities.
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure formwork and finished concrete structures meet required standards.
- Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
- Following all company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures and reporting hazards, defects and near misses.
What must you have? (Job Skills, Experience, Qualifications)
- Proven experience working as a Shuttering Joiner within the construction or civil engineering industry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site specifications.
- Experience constructing and dismantling a variety of formwork systems.
- Good understanding of concrete construction methods and site operations.
- Strong awareness of health and safety requirements within a construction environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- CSCS Card (essential).
Extra things we would like you to have
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Formwork Occupations, Shuttering Carpentry or equivalent.
- CPCS or NPORS plant-related qualifications.
- Experience working on civil engineering, infrastructure or utility projects.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- First Aid at Work qualification.

Pay: £23.00-£24.00 per hour
