Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Steel Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating steel components and structures, ensuring precision and quality in all work. Responsibilities
- Cutting, shaping, and assembling steel components according to technical drawings and specifications
- Performing TIG welding and other welding processes on steel and sheet metal materials
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Using basic maths to measure and mark materials accurately
- Assembling fabricated parts into finished products or structures
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety standards are met
- Conducting quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with specifications
Skills
- Proficiency in TIG welding and other welding techniques specific to welding standards
- Experience with fabrication processes involving sheet metal and steel components
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues during fabrication
- Good understanding of assembly procedures and technical drawings
- Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining safety standards
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
