£13.50 per hour
Fixed term until 31st March 2028; with possible extension

We’re looking for a confident and compassionate Advice & Information Officer to support unpaid carers across Birmingham.
You’ll provide high-quality, person-centred information, advice, and practical support, helping carers navigate services, access entitlements, and improve their wellbeing.
This is a frontline role where empathy, organisation, and clear communication are key.
What You’ll Do
- Provide advice and guidance via phone, email, face-to-face, and home visits
- Complete carer assessments, reviews, and support planning
- Signpost and refer to relevant services and community support
- Build strong relationships with carers, professionals, and partners
- Maintain accurate, confidential case records and reports
- Support outreach, engagement, and awareness activities
- Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a support, advice, or customer-facing role
- Knowledge of welfare benefits, carers’ rights, or social care (desirable)
- Strong communication, IT, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
