MAIN OBJECTIVES
To co-ordinate the timely and cost-effective movement of all materials, Spellman products, and support services to the point of need; ensuring that Company performance targets are achieved. The job will involve the receiving of goods, kitting, cell replenishment and location of common parts. The job is also highly focussed in respect of environmental and lean considerations associated within the warehouse domain.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive, inspect, and book in materials, ensuring accurate entry into the inventory management system.

Load and unload delivery vehicles using the company forklift truck, adhering to safety protocols.

Support the Materials Team Leader in achieving departmental KPIs, contributing to the development and maintenance of the 6S programme.

Conduct daily cycle counts with precision and attention to detail, as directed.

Prepare kitted parts for manufacturing, ensuring accuracy, timely completion, and proper recording in the system.

Issue manufacturing orders on a daily basis in line with production schedules.

Maintain full understanding and application of FIFO (First In, First Out) principles for material distribution to production cells.

Process unplanned material requirements using the requisition and NCR systems.

Ensure all stock is appropriately stored, clearly labelled, secure, and kept in an orderly condition; actively participate in stock minimisation initiatives.

Manage daily replenishment of internal K-Bin systems for production cells and consumable racks.

Oversee the correct disposal of surplus materials in compliance with COSHH and ISO14001 regulations, including recycling of packaging materials.

Stay informed and actively support EMS initiatives, continuous improvement activities, and compliance with ISO9001 (Quality) and ISO14001 (Environmental) standards.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Good numeracy and literacy including computer literate with previous material handling experience.
- Strong interpersonal and written skills

A problem solver with the ability to seek alternative solutions

Competent user of MS Office particularly Outlook and Excel

Knowledge of JIT and KANBAN driven processes

Hands on approach with a strong attention to details with excellent follow up skills

Team player skills with the proven ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
