Make a real difference in people's lives by bringing your love of numbers to our GCSE training team in Plymouth City Centre. We’re looking for a confident part-time Tutor to support our vocational learners with these crucial life and employment skills.
Role : GCSE Maths Tutor (ability to deliver English an advantage)
Salary: £15,288 per annum (pro-rata of £24,742 based on our standard full-time week of 34 hours)
Hours: 21 per week(usually over 3 days)

Our standard full-time working week is 34 hours, usually Monday to Friday (although some flexibility may be required depending on the sector in which you work). The Job Role:
"Actively Transforming Lives" by delivering consistent, high quality training in Maths to support learners in achieving GSCE qualifications.
The Candidate:
· Qualified to teach GCSE in Maths (delivery of English an advantage);
· Hold current teaching qualification to minimum of Level 3 (PTLLS, Education & Training or equivalent)
· Excellent understanding of and commitment to safeguarding and development for all;
· CAVA or equivalent assessing qualification an advantage (but fully-accredited training available in-house) ;
· Experienced in supporting and maintaining engagement of learners from Entry Level 2 to Level 2 abilities, with the resilience and positive, approachable manner that maintains learner engagement
· Confident in delivering consistent quality of training and assessment, teaching individuals, small groups and classroom cohorts
· Have good organisational skills with ability to prioritise own workload;
· Able to develop and maintain motivational working relationships with learners;
· Able to work both independently and within the wider team supporting functional skills as part of the vocational subject curriculum.
