Howdles Family Butchers Limited is looking for a reliable and motivated Part-Time Butcher / Driver to join our growing team, with an immediate start available.
The Role
This is a varied role combining both butchery and delivery responsibilities. You will assist with the preparation and packing of meat products, as well as delivering wholesale orders to our business customers. The successful candidate will play an important part in maintaining our high standards of quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with meat preparation, cutting, packing, and general butchery duties
- Prepare wholesale orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver wholesale orders safely and on time
- Load and unload deliveries
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness
- Provide excellent customer service to clients
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and roadworthy
- Assist with route planning and delivery schedules
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships

What We're Looking For
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous butchery experience preferred, although training can be provided for the right candidate
- Good knowledge of local routes
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Friendly and professional manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food hygiene standards
- Sales confidence is a bonus
