Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in repairing and replacing parts for our own fleet of light commercial vehicles and some customers vehicles . This role prefers you to have your own tools -however this is not a necessity as we can purchase what is required
We run our own fleet of light commercial vehicles, and we have customers light commercial vehicles that we also mechanically look after
This will range from basic safety inspections, to servicing, timing equipment, electrical repairs and replacing parts - To complete engine changes if necessary
We have our own recovery trailer which we prefer experience in towing to allow for breakdowns, collection and delivery of vehicles - training can be provided
A work van will be supplied
Duties:
- servicing and inspecting own fleet of vehicles and range of customer vehicles
- Utilise power tools and hand tools for repairing and replacing parts
- basic knowledge of using computer software to read,diagnose and repair faults on modern vehicles
- Conduct mechanical assembly of components to create finished products
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
Skills:
- Proficiency in basic mechanics
- Experience with power tools and hand tools for mechanics
- Competence basic knowledge of vehicle components
- ability to complete service sheets and inspection sheets (training provided)
- Mechanical knowledge to understand technical drawings and specifications
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £39,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
