Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? Do you love getting stuck into messy play, singing at the top of your lungs, dancing around the room, and aren't afraid to be a little silly? If so, we'd love to hear from you!
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team. You'll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive through play.
Our nursery offers a large outdoor learning space, giving children endless opportunities to explore nature, take risks safely, develop their physical skills, and enjoy outdoor adventures every day. We believe the outdoors is an extension of the classroom and are looking for someone who shares our passion for outdoor learning.
What you'll be doing:
- Planning and delivering fun, engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
- Supporting children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Building warm, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Observing, assessing, and recording children's learning and development.
- Providing high-quality care tailored to each child's individual needs.
- Supervising children throughout the day, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and stimulating learning environment.
- Working as part of a supportive team and contributing to the smooth running of the nursery.
- Attending team meetings and training to continue your professional development.
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
- Has previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
- Has a good understanding of the EYFS and child development.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Is organised, reliable, and proactive.
- Is caring, patient, and passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
- Can confidently observe, assess, and support children's individual learning journeys.
- Understands safeguarding, health and safety, and their responsibilities within an early years setting.
- Has a current Paediatric First Aid certificate (desirable).
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports diversity and individual needs.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of child development principles and safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Most importantly...
We're looking for someone who brings energy, warmth, and fun into every day. Someone who isn't afraid to:
- Get messy with paint and playdough.
- Sing nursery rhymes (even if you're a little off-key!).
- Dance around the room.
- Read stories with funny voices.
- Build dens, go on imaginary adventures, and make every day magical for the children in our care.
Why join us?
We value our team and believe in rewarding the people who make a difference every day. As part of our nursery family, you'll enjoy:
- Generous annual leave, with additional leave entitlement for your birthday!
- Childcare benefits.
- Company pension scheme.
- Employee discount.
- Free on-site parking.
- Private medical insurance.
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- A supportive, friendly team that genuinely enjoys working together.
- The opportunity to work in a nursery with an amazing outdoor environment where no two days are the same.
If you're passionate about early years education and want to work in a nursery where laughter, learning, and teamwork go hand in hand, we'd love to welcome you to our team.
