Overview
We are seeking 2 Legal Assistants to join our Conveyancing teams. The successful candidate will provide vital support to our Conveyancers by managing administrative tasks, audio typing, organising case files etc. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their legal career within a dynamic and reputable firm. The position is suitable for applicants with a keen interest in conveyancing and organisational excellence. Experience is not essential as full training will be given.
One Assistant is required for our Southampton Office and one for our Totton Office.
Duties
- Answering the phone
- Audio Typing
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of legal documents, including correspondence, reports, and case files
- Manage appointments, and deadlines to ensure timely submission of documents.
- Liaise with clients, external Estate Agents and Conveyancers.
- Maintain accurate records of case progress and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- To include filing, data entry etc.
Skills
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and administrative tasks effectively.
- Previous experience within a legal or professional environment is highly desirable but not essential as training will be given.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work within a team.
