Total Electrical Contractors are a leading electrical contractor providing electrical solutions to connect work spaces.
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to provide support to a facilities maintenance contract.
Monday-Friday based in Milton Park, Abingdon.
Reporting directly to the companies Senior Mechanical the Mechanical Maintenance Technician will oversee the daily running of the Mechanical elements of the maintenance contract and communicate directly with the end client providing onsite assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment.
- Producing permit to works and issuing RAMS to subcontractors.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using online checks.
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Supervise and provide leadership to subcontractors.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Provide excellent customer service to the end clients Facilities Team.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Contractor or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical systems.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with online software for tracking maintenance activities.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Contract Terms: Initial 12 months employment contract commencing October 2026 with potential for extension at the end of year 1.
