Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Area Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the hotel . This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting where attention to detail and excellent customer service are paramount. The Public Area Cleaner will play a vital part in ensuring our clients' spaces are hygienic, welcoming, and well-maintained.
The role is essentially for the position of Weekend Public Area Cleaner but additional hours may be available through the week.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products as required
- Handle light laundry tasks when necessary
- Ensure all areas are kept safe and free from hazards during cleaning procedures
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet or upholstery cleaning when needed
- Maintain equipment and cleaning tools in good working order
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any specific client requests or concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is highly desirable
- Knowledge of cleaning products and safe handling procedures
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to different shifts or specialised cleaning schedules as required
- A positive attitude towards maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
