Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. Duties
- Prepare and cook a range of breakfast items, including eggs, sausage/bacon, sandwiches, pastires, and other hot and cold dishes
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with safety and hygiene standards, adhering to food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout shifts
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and freshness
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of any shortages or required supplies
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
- Follow recipes accurately to maintain consistency in taste and presentation
- Support other kitchen staff during peak hours to ensure efficient service delivery
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods suitable for breakfast service
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Previous restaurant experience is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is valued highly
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
