Cheshire Waste is a small family business based in Backford, Chester. We operate a fully licenced transfer station and recycling facility. We run a mixed fleet of skip loaders, hook loaders and tippers.
Experience and an MPQC (EPIC) card would be a benefit but not essential.
Hourly Rate - £16.00
40 plus hours week
Hours average around 45-50
Vehicle details – Volvo FMX, manual, 8 wheeled steel body tipper.
One driver per vehicle, only changing over vehicles due to maintenance requirements.
Duties:
· Deliver recycled aggregates from our recycling plant to customers.
· Deliver quarried products from quarries in North Wales across the North West.
· Remove waste from customer premises and deliver back to our depot.
· May also be required to work for outside contractors.
· Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
· Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries.
· Complete daily driver walkaround checks and complete a defect report.
· Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any incidents or delays.
· Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
· Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
Experience:
· Valid commercial driver's license for Class 2 (C) - Valid Digital Tachograph.
· Valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) - Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role preferred.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for operating commercial vehicles.
· Ability to navigate using GPS or other routing systems.
· Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
