Experienced Recovery Driver (3.5T) & Yard Operative
Abbey Metal Recycling Ltd is looking for an experienced Recovery Driver (3.5T) to join our busy and growing team.
The Role
This is a varied position that combines vehicle recovery driving with general yard duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting vehicles safely and professionally, whilst also assisting with the day-to-day operations of our recycling yard.
Duties Include:
- Recovering and transporting vehicles using a 3.5T recovery truck
- Carrying out vehicle collections
- Completing vehicle checks and basic paperwork
- Assisting with yard operations and vehicle processing
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Following all company health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Previous recovery driving experience is essential
- Full UK driving licence (3.5T)
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift licence beneficial but not essential
