The Role
As General Manager, you’ll be at the heart of it all. You’ll lead the venue, shape the guest experience, and drive a culture that people want to be part of — both staff and customers alike.
But this role goes far beyond the day-to-day:
- Event Leadership: Oversee and deliver large-scale festivals with 500+ attendees, creating standout experiences that people talk about long after they leave.
- Weddings & Bookings: Drive our wedding and private event offering — from first enquiry to flawless execution — making The Goose & Cuckoo a sought-after destination.
- Brand Building & Promotion: Be a key voice in how we present ourselves to the world, working on creative promotions and partnerships.
- Field-to-Fork Dining: Champion a menu rooted in fresh, locally sourced ingredients, working closely with suppliers and chefs to keep things seasonal, sustainable, and exciting.
- Innovation & Growth: Constantly look for new opportunities — whether that’s launching new events, refining our drinks offering, or introducing unique guest experiences.

- Proven experience running high-energy hospitality venues
- A passion for craft beer, spirits, and unique food concepts
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and grow a team
- Experience with large-scale events, weddings, or destination venues
