Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Multi Drop Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to multiple locations within designated routes. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple deliveries throughout the day. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely completion of deliveries.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly during transit.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any issues encountered.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during deliveries and vehicle operation.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not essential
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries is advantageous.
- Familiarity with route navigation tools (e.g., GPS devices or mapping software).
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, including loading and unloading goods.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
