The Role
We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and inspirational Nursery Manager to lead our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who is committed to delivering outstanding childcare, supporting staff development, and ensuring the nursery continues to meet the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and inspire the nursery team to deliver exceptional childcare and education.
- Ensure full compliance with the EYFS Statutory Framework, Ofsted requirements, safeguarding legislation, and nursery policies.
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection throughout the nursery.
- Oversee the delivery of an engaging, inclusive, and high-quality curriculum for children aged 6 weeks to 4 years.
- Monitor children's learning and development to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Recruit, induct, supervise, appraise, and develop staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage occupancy, staffing ratios, budgets, and nursery resources effectively.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers, professionals, and the wider community.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and prepare the nursery for Ofsted inspections.
- Ensure all records, policies, and procedures remain compliant with statutory requirements.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment where children, families, and staff thrive.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification as a minimum (Level 5 or above is desirable).
- Have at least 2 years previous experience as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, or in another senior leadership role within an early years setting.
- Have an excellent understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding legislation, Ofsted expectations, and safer recruitment practices.
- Be an inspiring and supportive leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Be passionate about delivering outstanding care and education.
- Have experience managing nursery operations, occupancy, staffing, compliance, and quality assurance.
