We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly person to join our bar/restaurant team on a part time basis at The Queens Hotel in YORK. Shifts include bar service, breakfast and dinner service. As part of the team you will be required to prepare the restaurant for guests to dine, re stock breakfast buffet, clear tables, take evening meal and drinks orders, communicate meal choices to kitchen team, serve meals and drinks including wine, work the bar and offer table service to guests relaxing in the lounge, prepare bills for guests and maintain cleaning standards in the restaurant. You will be required to work between *12-16 hrs per week covering approx 3 - 4 shifts depending on hotel business. (More shifts available during peak months) (we can be flexible with shifts to suit your availability but you must be available for some weekend shifts). The shifts will include weekends and bank holidays, and some split shifts to cover breakfast, bar and dinner service. Example of shifts you may be required to work, 7.00-11.30am/5pm-9/10pm. Some restaurant/bar experience would be useful but training will be given. * Must be over 18 years of age for bar service. Salary £10-£12.21 per hour depending on age. We may be able to tailor shifts to suit student lectures/timetable during term time. Increased hours may be required/offered to cover holiday periods of full time team members. This position is a permanent offer and must be able to start now.
