Job Summary
Embark on an exciting journey as a Nursery Apprentice, where you will gain hands-on experience in early childhood development and nursery operations. Duties
- Support nursery staff in supervising and engaging with children during play, learning, and mealtime activities
- Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children and staff
- Help with setting up educational resources and play areas to promote development and exploration
- Observe children’s behavior and developmental progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Participate in daily routines such as nappy changing, feeding, and outdoor play under supervision
- Support the implementation of nursery policies and health & safety procedures to ensure compliance
- Contribute positively to team efforts by being proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic about learning
Qualifications
- Genuine interest in early childhood development and caring for young children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
- Willingness to undertake relevant training or qualifications in childcare (desirable)
- Basic understanding of health & safety practices related to childcare settings (nice-to-have)
- No prior experience required; enthusiasm and motivation are key!
