Full-Time Support Worker – Day Centre, Cannock
1 Step Beyond Support is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Full-Time Support Worker to join our Day Centre team in Cannock.

About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality support to adults attending our Day Centre. You will work as part of a dedicated team to create a safe, supportive and engaging environment where the people we support can develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy a range of activities.
The role will include:
- Supporting adults with their individual needs and daily routines.
- Providing person-centred care and support.
- Supporting service users to participate in activities, outings and community-based activities.
- Promoting independence, choice, dignity and respect.
- Supporting individuals with personal care where required.
- Assisting with meals and refreshments.
- Supporting service users when travelling to and from the Day Centre.
- Driving the Day Centre minibus when required.
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the people we support at all times.
- Completing accurate daily records and care documentation.
- Following individual care plans, risk assessments and company policies.
- Working effectively as part of a team.
- Communicating professionally with service users, families, colleagues and other professionals.
Essential Requirements
You must hold a valid full UK driving licence.
The successful candidate must:
- Hold a full and valid UK driving licence.
- Be confident driving as part of the role.
- Have a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be reliable, patient and compassionate.
- Be able to work as part of a team and use their own initiative.
- Be willing to undertake mandatory training.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support.
- Be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the Day Centre.
Your driving licence will be checked as part of our recruitment process to ensure you hold the appropriate entitlement for any vehicle you will be required to drive.
Desirable
Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, autism or other support needs would be advantageous, although we will consider candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, values and willingness to learn.
