For over 30 years, Martin House has provided vital care and support to babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions across West, North and East Yorkshire. We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible Zero Hours Retail Assistants to support our fantastic shops in Skipton and Ilkley. As part of our retail team, you will play an important role in raising funds that help us care for more than 550 families each year and support over 200 bereaved families.
Working alongside the Shop Manager and volunteers, you will help create a welcoming environment for customers, provide excellent service, and contribute to the day-to-day running of the shop. We are seeking confident, positive individuals who enjoy working with a diverse range of people and are passionate about supporting their local children's hospice.
Our ideal candidate will
- Be dedicated, compassionate, work in collaboration with other teams, be open, honest, flexible, caring and deliver high standards in everything they do.
- Want to work in a well-established, award-winning charity retail team, raising funds to support our children, young people, and their families from the time of their referral through to end-of-life care.
- Understand the importance of creating a community hub within our charity shops, and be able to provide a safe, inclusive environment from which to generate revenue for our hospice.
- Be flexible with their time. This role will cover shifts at our Skipton and Ilkley shops, though there may be the opportunity to cover our other shops if the successful application would like to. Some shifts may be offered at late notice in order to cover ad hoc absences.
