About the Role
Leicester has a well established fashion, textiles and retail economy supported by a growing digital commerce sector. At CC Vintage Fashion and Retail Services, we source and sell distinctive vintage fashion, accessories and luxury resale products through online marketplaces and direct retail channels.
We are looking for a Marketplace Operations Manager who can take ownership of daily marketplace trading, product listings, order performance and customer experience. You will work closely with merchandising, inventory, marketing, authentication, fulfilment and customer service teams to ensure that products are presented accurately and orders are processed efficiently.
This role is suited to an experienced marketplace or e commerce professional who can manage several online sales channels while maintaining accurate product information and dependable service standards. You will monitor account performance, resolve operational issues and introduce improvements that increase sales, visibility and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketplace Operations: Manage daily trading and operational activity across approved online marketplaces and third party retail platforms.
- Product Listings: Ensure that product titles, descriptions, images, categories, prices and condition details are accurate and complete.
- Catalogue Management: Maintain organised product catalogues and resolve listing errors, duplicate records and marketplace compliance issues.
- Order Management: Monitor orders from purchase through fulfilment, dispatch, delivery, returns and refund processing.
- Inventory Coordination: Work with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain accurate stock availability across all marketplace channels.
- Pricing Management: Review product prices, competitor activity, promotional opportunities and commercial performance.
- Marketplace Compliance: Ensure listings and account activity comply with platform policies, product standards and consumer requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Track sales, conversion, returns, cancellations, customer feedback and account health indicators.
- Customer Experience: Coordinate with customer service teams to resolve order concerns, delivery issues and product enquiries.
- Promotional Activity: Plan and implement marketplace promotions, seasonal campaigns and product visibility initiatives.
- Platform Optimisation: Identify opportunities to improve product ranking, discoverability, conversion and marketplace performance.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate listing suspensions, account warnings, fulfilment failures and other operational concerns.
- Cross Functional Coordination: Work closely with merchandising, marketing, technology, logistics and finance teams to support marketplace growth.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly reports covering sales, stock performance, customer feedback and operational priorities.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience in marketplace operations, e commerce, digital retail or online merchandising.
- Education: Bachelor degree, diploma or recognised qualification in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, E Commerce or a related discipline.
- Marketplace Knowledge: Practical experience managing online marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy or comparable fashion and resale platforms.
- E Commerce Skills: Strong understanding of product listings, catalogue management, online pricing and order fulfilment.
- Retail Awareness: Experience in fashion, vintage products, luxury resale, accessories or another consumer retail category is desirable.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret marketplace data, identify performance trends and recommend practical improvements.
- Customer Focus: Strong commitment to accurate product information, dependable fulfilment and professional customer service.
- Inventory Knowledge: Understanding of stock control, product availability and multichannel inventory coordination.
- Problem Solving: Ability to resolve listing, order, fulfilment and platform compliance issues efficiently.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate internal teams and external platform representatives.
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, marketplace seller portals, e commerce platforms and inventory management systems.
- Organisation: Ability to manage multiple sales channels, product launches, deadlines and operational priorities simultaneously.
Pay: £36,000.00-£47,000.00 per year
