Bar Supervisor – The Charlotte Arms
Full Time – £13.50-£14.00 + Tronc
Do you want to be part of an exciting new venue and play a key role in bringing something special to Edinburgh’s hospitality scene? Brought to you by the team behind Kitty O’Shea’s and Wunderbar, The Charlotte Arms is set to become a lively new local favourite in the heart of the city.
We’re looking for an experienced Bar Supervisor with the passion, drive and leadership skills to help bring our vision to life and lead the team from the front.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the bar team, ensuring efficient, professional and friendly service
- Lead from the front and maintain high standards across every shift
- Prepare and serve a wide range of drinks, including cocktails, wines, beers and spirits
- Support the management team with the smooth daily running of the venue
- Monitor team performance and provide guidance, coaching and support
- Assist with staff trials, training, development and inductions
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness & presentation across the bar
- Handle guest enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally
- Ensure the team follows company procedures, service standards and licensing requirements
- Support opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation when required
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or senior bar role
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers and spirits
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
- A hands-on approach and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- An understanding of licensing legislation
- A personal licence is preferred but not essential
