Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring the well-being of our clients. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals will be vital in delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients in maintaining their daily routines, including meal preparation and medication management.
- Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that individual needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or manager.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for clients, encouraging independence and dignity.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the quality of care provided within the care home or during home visits.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation related to client care.
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
