Fire Door Inspection Solutions Ltd is looking for an experienced and highly organised Small Works Manager to lead our growing Small Works Division. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of all customer orders valued below £10,000, ensuring projects are completed safely, compliantly and to the highest standards of customer service. Managing a business unit generating over £2.5 million in annual revenue and handling more than 900 customer orders each year, you will play a vital role in driving operational performance, customer satisfaction and commercial success. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead the Helpdesk Manager, Labour Planner and a team of Small Works Operatives, ensuring resources are utilised effectively and customer projects are delivered efficiently from order receipt through to completion and invoicing.
· Lead and manage the Small Works Division, ensuring operational excellence across all projects.
· Oversee a high volume of customer orders from mobilisation through to successful completion.
· Manage and develop the helpdesk and planning functions to deliver outstanding customer service.
· Ensure customers receive regular communication, progress updates and a positive service experience throughout every project.
· Drive efficient labour planning, resource utilisation and operational productivity.
· Maintain oversight of all live small works contracts, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly and on time.
· Ensure documentation, RAMS and compliance records are accurately maintained and meet company and regulatory requirements.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance processes, systems and overall operational performance.
· Lead, coach and develop operational teams, creating a culture of accountability, teamwork and high performance.

You will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities effectively, and has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining high levels of compliance and operational control.
Essential Skills & Experience
· Proven experience managing a high-volume operational or service delivery function.
· Experience leading customer service, helpdesk or service delivery teams.
· Strong workforce planning and resource management experience.
· Experience managing customer relationships and service delivery contracts.
· Commercial awareness with the ability to drive productivity and performance.
· Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
· Full UK Driving Licence.
· Experience within construction, fire safety, facilities management or compliance-led environments would be advantageous.
