GEOsolutions is seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Surveyor to join its geomatics survey team. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced survey professionals, supporting the delivery of high-quality surveying projects while developing technical competence in data acquisition, processing, reporting, and client support.
The Junior Surveyor will specifically be responsible for:
· Working under the applicable regulations and requirements of GEOsolutions and the industry
· Developing competence in geomatics survey and assisting with technical aspects of conducting geomatics survey operations including, data acquisition, processing and reporting of geomatic data
· Developing competence in surveys to enable assistance with addressing technical queries from clients and GEOsolutions team members
· Developing competence in surveys to enable compilation of company geomatics survey procedures.
· Working as part of a team of technical specialists
· Developing competence in geomatic surveys to enable liaison with clients to provide tenders and results in appropriate formats
· Supporting geomatic survey colleagues to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
· Supporting the GEOsolutions survey manager to ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met.
· Developing an extensive knowledge of geomatics and department processes.
· Developing competence in surveys to enable assistance with QA for projects within the geomatics survey department
· Any other duties and responsibilities as the geomatics survey manager/directors see fit for the role
Day to day duties may include:
· Project Administration
· Assisting with complex fieldwork projects
· Data acquisition during fieldwork
· Data processing, reporting and & assisting with QA of completed projects
· Liaising with colleagues within GEOsolutions
· Attending site meetings as required
· Maintaining & keeping up to date project information with ASANA project management software
Requirements for the role of Junior Surveyor will be:
· Ability to spend up to 1 week away from home working on surveys in any given stint
· Willingness and commitment to develop competence in all surveying procedures,
· Dedication to develop competence in survey instrumentation and software
· Excellent communicator at all levels both internally within all ranks of the team and externally to all stakeholders in survey work
· Willingness for international travel
Additional Duties of the Junior Surveyor may include:
· Keeping abreast of technical developments within the industry
· Assisting with client management and business development
· Assisting with the development of a strong team of competent and qualified personnel
· Personnel development and training according to ICES and/ or RICS framework
· Informal and formal communication to Directors and staff members including written reports and submission of evidence in scenarios where policies and procedures are not adhered to by other members of staff.

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
