Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and smooth workflow
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Manage food production schedules to meet service demands and minimise waste
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control stock to reduce wastage
- Innovate menu items by developing new recipes and culinary techniques
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with team management skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with staff and suppliers
- A passion for culinary excellence and innovation
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential
