We are seeking an activities coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging and meaningful activities. This role involves supporting our residents in continuing to enjoy the activities and lifestyle choices they have always valued.
We are looking for someone with a creative flair and the ability to connect with people from all backgrounds. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, motivated, and personable, with a genuine care for the well-being of others. They should be able to work independently, think creatively, and bring innovative ideas to the table.
In this role you will...
- Go above and beyond to make our residents’ lives joyful and meaningful.
- Plan and lead a wide range of activities such as flower arranging, art classes, group events, and 1:1 sessions tailored to residents’ preferences.
- Organise social events and outings to encourage community engagement and companionship.
- Treat each resident as a unique individual, ensuring their interests and choices shape the activity programme.
- Foster a welcoming, fun, and inclusive environment every day.
What we're looking for:
- Strong planning and organisational skills to create engaging, ongoing activity programmes.
- Experience working with older people, including those living with dementia.
- Confidence leading both group and one-to-one activities, including occasional trips into the community.
- Ability to use an electronic care planning system to maintain activity notes, update monthly care plans, and complete “About Me” documents.
- IT-literate and confident using digital tools.
- Creative, outgoing, and a natural relationship-builder – both within the home and with local organisations.
- Reliable and committed to enriching the lives of others.
If you're passionate about making a difference in others lives, we would love to hear from you.
