As we continue to develop and strengthen our operations, we are looking for a dedicated Health & Safety Officer to play a key role in shaping and embedding a proactive safety culture across the business.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Health & Safety professional to make a real impact. You will take ownership of site health and safety performance, working closely with operational teams to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement.
You will not only ensure standards are met but will actively influence behaviours, promote best practice, and help build a culture where safety is at the forefront of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and workplace inspections to identify and mitigate hazards
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, providing detailed reports and actionable recommendations
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and risk assessments
- Develop, deliver, and coordinate health & safety training programmes and maintain the training matrix
- Support and lead emergency preparedness, including fire safety and first aid arrangements
- Review, update, and implement health & safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation
- Drive a strong safety culture through engagement, communication, and coaching at all levels
- Ensure correct use and availability of PPE and safety equipment
- Monitor and maintain first aid provisions across the site
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about health and safety and committed to continuous improvement
- Confident in engaging with teams and influencing positive change
- Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment
Qualifications & Experience
- NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification (essential)
- 2–5 years’ experience in a similar Health & Safety role
- Experience within food manufacturing, warehousing, or cold storage environments is highly desirable
- Proven experience in auditing, inspections, and incident investigation

Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary: £34,000 – £38,000 9dependent on experience)
- 38.75-hour working week
