We’re looking for a friendly, energetic and confident Shift Leader to join our team and help us deliver an unforgettable experience for every guest.
Think country music, cowboy boots, busy weekends, brunch buzz, and a team that works hard but has fun doing it.
The Role
As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the management team in the day-to-day running of the venue. You’ll take an active role on the floor and behind the bar, leading the team during busy periods and making sure the venue operates safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
You’ll be a key point of contact for the team during your shifts, helping to motivate staff, resolve issues and maintain Silver Spur’s standards.
You’ll be expected to:
- Lead and support the front of house team during shifts
- Ensure the venue is fully prepared for service and runs smoothly throughout the day
- Maintain high standards of customer service
- Support the management team with opening and closing shifts
- Handle customer queries, complaints and feedback professionally
- Ensure company procedures around licensing, Challenge 25 and health & safety are followed
- Complete regular venue checks throughout the shift
- Monitor cleanliness and ensure FOH areas, bars and customer areas remain presentable
- Support cash handling and till procedures
- Assist with stock control, deliveries and stock rotation where required
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar and floor teams
- Help train, coach and develop new and existing team members
- Lead by example and maintain a positive team environment
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in hospitality, preferably in a supervisor / shift leader / duty manager role
- Friendly and approachable with a passion for hospitality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- Able to remain calm and professional under pressure
- A strong communicator with excellent people skills
- Organised and able to prioritise effectively
- Confident dealing with customers and resolving problems
- Reliable, punctual and willing to get stuck in
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends and busy periods
Desirable Experience
- Experience within a busy bar, restaurant, nightclub or entertainment venue
- Knowledge of licensing and responsible alcohol service
- Experience with cash handling and EPOS systems
- Experience training or supervising team members
- Holding a personal licence is desirable but not essential
