Job Title: Play Practitioner
Hours of work: Monday – Friday FULL TIME
The post holder will be part of the team responsible for the day to day smooth running for both North Berwick Playgroup and / or Law Out of School Care with an emphasis on active play and healthy snack.
Role Purpose
The key purpose is to source and implement play activities. Responsibilities include:
Operational Excellence

Practice understanding of the Care Inspectorate Social Care Standards and SSSC codes of conduct and legislations.

Ensure the safe collection and transportation of children between the school and club.

In consultation with other staff, plan a varied programme of activities suitable to the needs of the young people.

Maintain good working relationships with other clubs as well as third-party organisations and agencies.

Assist in the evaluation of your setting.

Developmental Excellence

Maintain your own SSSC registration, annual renewal and demonstrate substantial CPD hours on your online PRTL.

Act as a role model, listening to children in the setting.

Develop and maintain warm relationships with members of the local community.
