Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will coordinate transportation operations, optimize delivery routes, and ensure seamless logistics processes. Your expertise will help us maintain high standards of service, improve efficiency, and support our supply chain operations.
Duties
- Develop and manage transportation schedules and routes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs
- Coordinate with , drivers, and third-party pallet network members to ensure timely deliveries
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), and ERP platforms such as AS400 to plan and track shipments
- Monitor shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with safety standards
- Analyze data related to logistics performance, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
Skills
- Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation planning principles
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS),
- Proficiency in shipping & receiving procedures, materials handling, and warehouse operations including picking & packing
- Data analysis skills to interpret logistics metrics and identify process improvements
- Hands-on experience with forklift operation and warehouse experience is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Clear communication skills to liaise with internal teams, carriers, and suppliers
