Abbey Gates has been manufacturing and installing metal driveway gates and railings across Glasgow for over 40 years. We are now recruiting an experienced Foreman with strong blacksmithing, welding, and fabrication skills.
Role Overview
You will lead a small team in the manufacturing and installation of metal gates, railings, and bespoke steelwork. This is a hands‑on role requiring excellent fabrication skills and site experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and weld gates, railings, and steel components
- Lead and supervise fabrication and installation teams
- Carry out site installations to a high standard
- Read and work from technical drawings
- Ensure safe, efficient workflow and quality control
Requirements
- Proven experience in metalwork, blacksmithing, welding, and gate/railing fabrication
- Experience installing gates and railings on domestic or commercial sites
- Ability to lead a team and manage jobs independently
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
