Duties
- Help maintain a safe training environment by enforcing safety protocols and promoting good sportsmanship
- Lead warm-up exercises, drills, and skill-building activities under the guidance of the head coach
- Foster team spirit by encouraging positive communication, collaboration, and respect among athletes
- Support logistical tasks such as equipment setup, maintaining training facilities, and tracking attendance
- Participate in team meetings to discuss athlete progress, upcoming events, and coaching strategies
Requirements
- Proven sports coaching experience with a passion for athlete development and team engagement- or sporting background/ interest
- Strong ability to communicate instructions clearly and motivate others
- Knowledge of sport-specific techniques, rules, and safety procedures (can be taught)
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or during competitions as needed
- Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with athletes of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Enthusiastic attitude with a commitment to fostering a positive sporting environment
- Prior experience working with youth or amateur athletes is preferred but not mandatory
Pay: From £8.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3.5 – 16.0 per week
