Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic team member to lead our breakfast team in a vibrant restaurant environment. As a breakfast supervisor, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that guests have an enjoyable breakfast and lunch experience. You will be responsible for running the breakfast room in the morning and lunch during the day, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while adhering to food safety standards. The hours will be 7.30am until 4pm, working 5 days per week, including weekends.
As this position involves preparing and serving alcoholic drinks, we are considering candidates over the age of 18 years old.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanour.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering system.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets our standards.
- Provide assistance with menu selections and upselling additional items to enhance the dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction at all times.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
Skills
- Strong guest services skills with a passion for hospitality.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for processing orders and handling payments accurately.
- Familiarity with food preparation processes and kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain high hygiene standards in the restaurant setting.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while providing helpful recommendations to guests.
