Football Focused 1-2-1 is one of Scotland's fastest-growing football coaching organisations, delivering high-quality player development programmes across Glasgow. We specialise in 1-2-1 coaching, small group sessions, academy training, holiday camps and position-specific player development, helping hundreds of young players maximise their potential in a professional, enjoyable and player-centred environment.
Due to continued growth, we are excited to be launching our brand-new Goalkeeping Development Programme and are looking for enthusiastic, knowledgeable and ambitious Goalkeeping Coaches to help shape its future.
This is a unique opportunity to become part of a programme from the very beginning. As one of our Goalkeeping Coaches, you'll play a key role in developing and growing our specialist goalkeeper pathway, delivering high-quality coaching to goalkeepers of all abilities through 1-2-1 sessions, small group training, specialist clinics and academy programmes.
We're looking for coaches who are passionate about goalkeeping, committed to developing young players and excited by the opportunity to help build a thriving goalkeeper community. As the programme expands, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibilities, contribute ideas, develop new initiatives and progress within the company.
At Football Focused 1-2-1, we invest heavily in our coaches through mentoring, CPD opportunities and ongoing support, ensuring our staff continue to grow alongside the players they coach.
Goalkeeping Coach – Duties & Responsibilities
As a Goalkeeping Coach, you'll be instrumental in establishing and developing our new Goalkeeping Development Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality specialist goalkeeping coaching to players aged 6–18.
- Help develop and grow our new Goalkeeping Programme.
- Deliver:
- 1-2-1 Goalkeeping Sessions
- Small Group Goalkeeper Training
- Goalkeeping Academies
- Holiday Camps
- Position-Specific Goalkeeper Clinics
- Club and Team Goalkeeping Sessions
- Coach all aspects of modern goalkeeping, including handling, footwork, distribution, diving, shot stopping, aerial play, communication, positioning and decision-making.
- Adapt coaching to suit different ages, abilities and learning styles.
- Build positive relationships with players and parents to encourage long-term development.
- Support player assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain the highest coaching standards in line with Football Focused 1-2-1's philosophy.
- Assist in promoting and growing the programme through community engagement and events.
- Attend staff meetings and CPD opportunities while contributing ideas to help shape the future of the programme.
Experience & QualificationsEssential
- Passion for goalkeeping and player development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, reliable and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to inspire and motivate young goalkeepers.
- Desire to contribute to the growth of a new specialist programme.
Qualifications
- Goalkeeping coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- UEFA C Licence, Scottish FA Goalkeeping qualifications or equivalent are advantageous.
- Candidates without formal coaching qualifications are encouraged to apply. If you have a strong goalkeeping background and a willingness to work towards recognised coaching qualifications, we'd love to hear from you.
- Previous goalkeeping playing experience is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.
- PVG Scheme Membership (or willingness to obtain).
- Emergency First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Safeguarding/Child Wellbeing certification (or willingness to complete).

Pay: £13.00-£40.00 per hour
