Delivery Driver – Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for reliable, hardworking and professional Delivery Drivers to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering parcels safely and efficiently to customers while providing a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver parcels and goods safely and on time.
- Load and organise deliveries efficiently.
- Follow planned delivery routes and schedules.
- Handle parcels carefully and professionally.
- Provide excellent customer service at each delivery.
- Complete delivery records and follow company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle.
- Report any delivery issues, delays or vehicle problems promptly.
- Follow all road safety and driving regulations.
Requirements
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
- Own reliable vehicle suitable for making deliveries.
- Good knowledge of local roads and surrounding areas.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Smartphone required for delivery and navigation purposes.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for drivers who are dependable, organised and committed to completing their deliveries to a high standard. Previous delivery driving experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
Vehicle Requirements
Your vehicle must be:
- Road legal and properly maintained.
- Fully insured for delivery/courier work where required.
- Suitable for safely carrying the allocated parcels.
- Equipped with a valid MOT where applicable.
