You will be working in the Finance OU based in Leavesden (Watford) in where we are responsible for protecting and growing a successful Skanska UK with predictable, profitable and sustainable performance. We partner with the business to deliver excellent financial services, efficient processes and robust governance — ensuring every decision supports our shared future.
We are currently looking for a Financial Accountant - Treasury who will be accountable for supporting Treasury-owned processes and activities across the Skanska UK Business Unit (BU).
As the Financial Accountant - Treasury, you will:
- Support administration of all bank accounts within the UK business, including operational access, online and paper mandates, KYC checks, and the opening and closing of bank accounts. Support manual payments where required.
- Support cash posting in Oracle cash management, carry out daily cash flow forecasting to Group Treasury, complete the monthly consolidated bank reconciliation statement and FER, review currency accounts, and assist the business with hedging activity.
- Support accurate Treasury reporting by required deadlines and deliver month-end closing tasks associated with Treasury. Complete ad-hoc reporting and reconciliation requests.
- Partner with Group Treasury, external banks, JV Partner Treasury teams, Finance, other Enabling Functions, and operational stakeholders to support Treasury processes and issue resolution.
- Support with external auditors’ requests in relation to Treasury items.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of strong UK Treasury policies in line with group standards. Ensure compliance with cash-related regulations and internal policies across the business unit.
We are looking for:
- Studying for a professional accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA).
- Considerable technical accounting skills and finance experience.
- Experience in data management and analysis.
- Strong understanding of account reconciliation and validation.
- Ability to identify and manage own training and development, and support others.
