Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Group Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will support the financial operations across multiple sites, ensuring accurate data entry, timely processing of transactions, and efficient management of financial records. Your contributions will help maintain the integrity of our financial systems and support strategic decision-making. Duties
- Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable transactions using accounting software such as Sage, L50 payroll and accounts, Nest pension and Xero accounts.
- Enter and verify financial data accurately within systems like Workday, QuickBooks, or other enterprise platforms
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by reconciling accounts and preparing reports
- Manage vendor and supplier inquiries related to payments and invoices
- Maintain organized records of financial documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve data accuracy across all financial systems
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal review
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and Nest.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and data entry accuracy
- Familiarity with financial services industry standards and practices
- Experience working with enterprise systems like Workday or similar platforms is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to communicate clearly within a team environment and adapt to evolving processes
- Basic understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. 37.5 hours per week.
