Job Overview
Design Integration are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of audio visual and telecommunication systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilising advanced technical skills in network installation, equipment repair, and electrical systems. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in computer networking, telecommunication systems, and electrical experience, with the ability to interpret schematics and work with various hardware components. This is a paid position suitable for experienced professionals. The position will be mostly based in London and surrounding areas, Some European travel is also expected.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Audio visual equipment.
- Unloading the delivery of equipment from the couriers to the site in a safe working manner.
- 1st Fix cabling to cable the room as per drawings / pull schedule.
- Installing equipment for the 2nd Fix including – displays/projectors/electric screens/cameras/microphones/speakers.
- Working with Unistrut and stud-making framework to suspend AV equipment.
- Cable looming behind the screen and table integration requires a high level of attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding and ability to read drawings.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Troubleshoot technical issues promptly to minimise downtime and optimise system performance.
- Document system configurations, repairs, and upgrades accurately for future reference.
Experience
- A minimum of 3 experience in AV installation preferred.
- Experience in terminating all AV related connections.
- Experience working on both building sites and corporate environments.
- Electrical experience with knowledge of schematics and circuit diagrams.
- Skilled in using hand tools for equipment repair and installation tasks.
- Familiarity with computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Previous roles involving network installation or AV system integration are essential
- Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately and work independently or within a team environment effectively. - Full Driving Licence.
- UK/EU passport
- ECS/CSCS / SSSTS card holder preferred.
