6 HOURS A WEEK & CHOOSE YOUR OWN HOURS/DAYS!
I'm looking for a cheerful, helpful person to assist me with a few basic housework tasks at my home. I'm a 39 year old guy who has had back injuries and other health issues in recent years which make routine housework a bit more tricky. I'm friendly, easy-going, approachable, flexible – basically the perfect boss! :)
No specific experience is necessary - I'm just looking for someone who's helpful, reliable, trustworthy and, above all, a good laugh!
Would suit anyone looking to work a few extra hours around their other commitments.
The job is for 6 hours a week. I’d like the hours divided across 2 or 3 weekdays rather than all 6 hours in one go, but I can be pretty flexible with whichever days/times best suit you. I’m also happy for these days/times to change from week-to-week depending on other commitments, if that works better for you.
The role will be part-funded & overseen by The Royal Borough of Greenwich Council, including full use of their payroll service for your wage slips.
Usual main tasks:
- Routine cleaning of the apartment.
- Cooking a (basic) meal (nothing complicated, e.g. just some veg & chicken/eggs, etc.).
- Washing-up dishes (there normally isn't much).
- Laundry.
- Ironing.
- Taking in a grocery shopping delivery & putting it away, if needed.
- Changing bins/recycling & taking them to the communal bins room.
Personal qualities needed:
- Reliable.
- Conscientious.
- Trustworthy.
- Cheerful & have the ability to laugh enthusiastically at my jokes (crucial!).
Location: 5-10 mins walk from Cutty Sark DLR & Greenwich DLR/train station (Zone 2), close to the River Thames. Two bus routes (188,199) stop directly outside, and numerous others are within 5-10 mins walk away.
£13.85 per hour (rising to £14.80 later this year)
