Brief job description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Parts Advisor located at our Crick branch. The Parts Advisor will be responsible for managing inventory control, ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent customer service, communicating effectively with customers, other branches and colleagues and ensuring dealer processes are adhered to.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, day shift, and alternate Saturdays 8:00-12:00
Fixed term contract for 12-months, ending 31st October 2027

What does the role involve?
- Run front and back Service Counters
- Pick and deliver correct parts to customers and workshop on time
- Complete relevant documentation including invoices etc
- Build and develop customer relationships and deliver excellent customer service
- Work together with the workshop and other departments
- Return warranty and service exchange units regularly
- Receive and inspect all packages delivered, resolving any issues
- Inventory management
- Department housekeeping
- Parts ordering
- Communicate with customers and suppliers
- Promote parts to customers to increase sales
- Inform customers of any promotions that are running to help increase sales.
- Control VOR/freight charge costs
- Chase supplier credits
- Any other duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your manager
What are we looking for in a candidate?
- Experience in a similar role, within a main dealer, desirable
- A passion for the HGV industry and the drive to learn
- Computer literacy and a high attention to detail
- Knowledge of Scania parts and systems
- Current driving licence
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines, with excellent organisational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Solution-driven approach
- Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
- Ability to work under pressure and have a solution-driven approach
- Fork-lift truck licence, desirable but not essential
