We're looking for a friendly and reliable Bar & Clubhouse Assistant to join our team at a busy local golf course.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be serving members and visitors in the clubhouse, preparing simple food, taking telephone enquiries and helping golfers book tee times and rounds.
The role includes regular weekend working, with hours varying throughout the year to match the seasonal needs of the business.
This role is working 16 hours per week, mainly over the weekends. Hours are reduced in th winter, typical working hours are:
- Summer: 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Winter: 9:00am - 3:00pm
What you'll be doing
- Serving drinks and refreshments in the clubhouse bar
- Preparing and cooking simple menu items such as burgers, baps, chips and light snacks
- Taking customer orders and handling payments
- Answering telephone enquiries and assisting with golf bookings
- Providing excellent customer service to members and visitors
- Keeping the bar, kitchen and clubhouse areas clean and tidy
What we're looking for
- A friendly and approachable personality
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confidence using the telephone and dealing with customer enquiries
- Previous bar, hospitality or catering experience is helpful but not essential as training can be provided
- A flexible approach to weekend and seasonal working hours
