Woodfloors4u are recruiting for a full time permanent highly motivated and confident individual to join our rapidly expanding Essex based company. We are one of the largest distributors of wood flooring in the UK and are looking for a reliable, physically fit and enthusiastic individual to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling goods, assisting with inventory management and supporting the overall efficiency of warehouse operations. Previous experience in warehouse environments is advantageous. The role involves some heavy lifting and requires excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively within the team.
This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in logistics and warehousing within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading deliveries/client vehicles using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Organising and storing stock efficiently within the warehouse
- Picking orders from the storage space and bringing them for packing/to the loading bay for transportation.
- Managing inventory counts and maintaining accurate records
- Preparing goods for dispatch, including packaging and labelling
- Driver licence required for deliveries as needed in and around Greater London using company vehicle
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors regarding stock levels and delivery schedules
- Performing some heavy lifting tasks safely to move goods around the warehouse
- Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse
- Working in accordance to Health and Safety guidelines
Experience
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for new entrants
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Fork lift experience required
- Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and clients effectively
- Experience in logistics or transportation roles will be considered an advantage
- Organising transfers and loading goods onto delivery vehicles
