Coactive Care is a growing group of high-quality residential care homes, including Georgian House and Meadfoot View. With our brand-new flagship home, Spurfield House, opening soon in Exeter, we are now recruiting compassionate and dedicated Health Care/Support Assistants to join the team at this exciting new service. Your daily routine will be varied. Working as part of a team, you will care and support residents with all aspects of daily living, helping our residents live satisfying and dignified lives, supporting their physical and emotional needs including community engagement. You will support the resident to wash, dress, undress, and help with their continence care, feeding, hydration, oral car, hair and nail care and emotional support and stimulation. This will include engaging and encouraging them to participate in activities and community support.
You will support the personal care needs of our Residents in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence, life skills and informed choices in accordance with the individual care /support plan and to enhance inclusion in the community. You will take our residents to appointments, theatre trips, community groups, discos, and a variety of other activities. You will be organised in ascertaining the client’s needs promoting independence and choice.
In conjunction with the Registered Manager and Head of Care, to work in a collaborate manner with the management team in supporting the staff on duty to ensure the safe running of the home whilst you are on shift. To be a point of call for emergency situations for advice and if required to attend to give practical help.
Medication Administration:
Assessed as being competent to carry out regular medication administration within the home

Dispensing, Recording, and booking in medication in conjunction with the Team Leader according to CQC and relevant best practice.

Liaising with Health Care Professionals with regard to the health and wellbeing of the Residents
(e.g., District Nurses, GP’s etc). -
Carry out stock counts in conjunction with the Team Leader
All candidates will receive in house training and development program, and we believe it is important that staff take personal responsibility for their continuing professional development which means that staff ongoing improve their knowledge, skills and competence, and develop professional qualities required throughout their career.

A dedicated Training manager to support your continuing professional development
We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated and organised individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have experience leading a small team, be competent in medication administration, and be confident working both independently and as part of a team. You will be calm under pressure, computer literate, and capable of producing clear reports. Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends, is required. Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs and complex care requirements is desirable but not essential.
